Truth, Lies & Love – Poem

Truth, Lies, Love

If you loved her like you should

She would love you for the rest of her life

She would never dream of another guy

She would not betray you & she wouldn’t lie.

He’s your nemesis, you say

Your in-laws are outlaws now

Friends became arch-enemies

You’re the only one who’s right!

Your version seems like the truth,

but it’s filled with many lies…

Deceit’s hiding in your words

What you sell nobody buys.

You assume, presume, suppose & conclude

Can’t you love him like you should, instead?

If only you could…

She has a soft spot for you,

But that spot is not a hole

Don’t take it for granted…

It’s an entrance to her soul.

She will not relive all those toxic days with you

Change is overdue, my friend. Change is overdue!

You can lock the clock, but you can’t stop time

You can live in denial, yet you can’t deny

Your results say it all – by remaining mute…

This pain is for you, although it is brute.

You can run away, but you cannot hide

Start facing your wrongs, my friend

Time’s not on your side.

Walk into the pain – it’s a healing pain

Run into the pain – you won’t lose you’ll gain

Lean into the pain, so your soul can mend

It leads to a lack of pain at the very end.
