She yelled at a man who tried to help
Who tried to save her from herself
Driving down a one way road –
She opposed the traffic flow.
The man was a stranger,
But the man was a friend
Kinda like a guardian angel
When her strength was far spent
Her mouth was dry – her muscles were tense
Venom in between her ears – so much trash in her brain
She had been mistreated by those who’re meant to love her heart
And it made her so so so so… so so very very mad!
Yet, the man was kind enough
To stop… not once, not twice, but thrice…
When those who’re supposed to care
Weren’t there although they were…
She yelled at the man who tried to help,
Who tried to save her from impending hurt
It felt like a vein in her brain was just about to pop
Her God could have spared her, but the pain wouldn’t stop!
She could not hear His voice nor could she see His face,
So she yelled at the man – yes, at the man He had sent…
But the man wasn’t moved – when her rage finally stopped
He calmly advised her to turn in the road…
His kindness was Powerful
Now, yelling felt wrong,
So I asked for his forgiveness…
And then, turned… in the road.
